# Canceling Your Subscription

> Learn what happens when you cancel your paid ChatPress subscription or switch to the Free plan, including how Paddle billing and quota limits are affected.

## Overview

Canceling your paid plan or switching to the Free plan ends your paid subscription **immediately**.

Because Paddle manages ChatPress billing, cancellation removes your subscription from Paddle’s system right away — there is no end-of-month grace period.

## What Happens When You Cancel

## Why Access Ends Immediately

ChatPress uses quota-based limits for features like page training and message usage.\
If you move to a lower or free plan, your account must first meet those new limits — there’s no waiting period to “use up” your previous quota.

This ensures all accounts stay within the correct usage tier and prevents data loss or chatbot downtime later.
