# Quickstart

> Create an account for free on ChatPress.ai

    To create a new account go to the [Register](https://chatpress.ai/register) page. If you already have an account then go to the [Login](https://chatpress.ai/login) page.

  <Step title="Create API key">
    Once you login, you will be redirected to your dashboard. If you are not redirected, you can visit the dashboard page here [https://chatpress.ai/dashboard](https://chatpress.ai/dashboard)

    You will need an API key to activate your ChatPress.ai WordPress plugin. Create your API key within your Dashboard.

    Once the key is created, copy the API key, you will need it to verify within your WordPress plugin.

    The ChatPress.ai WordPress plugin is available here on the WordPress plugin store [https://wordpress.org/plugins/chatpress-ai](https://wordpress.org/plugins/chatpress-ai)

    You can download the plugin from your WordPress admin

    Copy the API key you have create in step 2. Paste it in your ChatPress.ai WordPress plugin and click Verify
